MORAGA, CALIFORNIA, June 6, 2002- Dynasty Capital Services LLC., a preeminent provider of strategic and financial advisory services, today announced the closing of the merger between Synopsys, Inc. (NASDAQ: SNPS) and Avant! Corporation (NASDAQ: AVNT). Dynasty served as an advisor to Avant! on various strategic matters. Upon closing of this transaction, Dynasty received final payments of all monies owed to Dynasty.

In December 2001, Synopsys announced its intention to acquire Avant! Corporation in a transaction valued in excess of $1 billion. The companies are leaders in the field of Electronic Design Automation (EDA) software—tools used in semiconductor design and development.
