Dynasty Founder to Address Young Entrepreneurs and
Executives on Venture Capital and Asia at Mark Hopkins Conference
MORAGA, Calif. - March 3,
2005 - Dynasty has announced that its Founder, Randolph L. Tom, has been
invited to speak at the Annual San Francisco-Silicon Valley Global
Entrepreneurship Research Conference on March 9th at the Mark Hopkins Hotel.
He will be joined on the panel by R. Sean Randolph, the President of the Bay
Area Economic Forum, Ian Patrick Sobieski, Managing Director of the Band of
Angels and Jonathan S. Storper, a partner at Hanson Bridgett, LLP. Mr. Tom
will commence the first day of USF’s 2005 International Business Plan
Competition.
Mr. Tom commented, “It is a great privilege to participate at such an
illustrious event. The conference is an excellent opportunity to exchange
views with other professionals involved in venture capital in support of
entrepreneurship. Our affiliate, Fortify Systems, Inc., was honored at the
Harvard Business School at that school’s competition last year. The USF
Competition is one of the most prestigious of its kind in the nation,
drawing a substantial number of participants and entrants each year. With my
fellow investors and judges of the Competition, I look forward to meeting
our audience of young entrepreneurs, distinguished members of the faculty
and experienced business managers.”
Professor Mark Cannice, Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship and Director
of the USF Entrepreneurship Program, quotes, “It is with great pleasure that
we have Randolph join us at this event which brings together professors and
graduate students from around the world, from the Ivy League to China
schools. His experience and insight will once again be invaluable advice for
those seeking to launch their ventures, particularly those with an Asian
focus.”
Professor Roger Chen, an Associate Professor of Management and Co-director
of the Entrepreneurship Program Research Initiative at the University of San
Francisco, noted that, “Mr. Tom’s willingness to share his years of
experience and success with our plan participants is evidence of his
dedication to educate the next generation of entrepreneurs here and
internationally.”
Mr. Tom founded Dynasty in 1988 and has been instrumental in establishing
Dynasty as one of the foremost advisors to entrepreneurs and Asian
investors.
