Dynasty Chairman Elected to Board of Directors for the Community Technology Foundation of California

San Francisco, Calif. - December 6, 2004 – Dynasty Capital Services today announced the appointment of Randolph L. Tom, Dynasty’s Chairman and CEO, to the Board of Directors for the Community Technology Foundation of California (CTFC), a charitable foundation created by the merger of SBC Communications and Pacific Bell.

Mr. Tom stated, “I am honored to serve on the Foundation’s Board.  Since the initial funding of $50 Million by SBC, I am hopeful that other companies will lend their financial and other resources to support the Foundation’s efforts to bring the enormous benefits of technology to underserved Californians.  Based on my experience with wireless technologies, I am particularly interested to help the CTFC promote its use to enhance and improve the daily lives of the disabled and others who to date have been unable to avail themselves of such resources.”

Jacquelyn Brand, the Chairman of the CTFC Board, said: “We are fortunate to have Randolph join our board with our other new members, Doug Hagan, Director of Corporate Marketing for NETGEAR, and Robert J. Jordan, the principal owner of Knowledge Management Systems (KMS). Randolph brings a rare combination of skills and experiences that will benefit the Foundation and help it achieve its objectives.  His unique background, which combines an in-depth understanding of a variety of technologies, his entrepreneurial success and years of advising and evaluating new ventures will enable us to better understand and meet the needs of the CTFC’s diverse constituencies.  Randolph’s addition to our Board is a result of an extensive search and exhaustive selection process to fill a board vacancy.”

A former securities law partner with a multinational law firm, he is an expert on corporate finance and governance and serves a broad spectrum of industries and technologies, as well as acting as an advisor to corporate officers and boards of both public and privately held entities. He is also active in many community service organizations.  Mr. Tom also serves on the Board of Advisors of the USF Center for the Pacific Rim, is an advisor to the Aviator Fund Management, L.P., a hedge/private equity fund, and is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors.
